“CNRS celebrates science at Exploradôme: Immerse yourself in an ocean of knowledge!

What hides the bottom of the ocean? What are the genetic characteristics of marine animals? How does the ocean interact with the atmosphere?

Chas is the way of life of the coastal populations? As part of the Fête de la Science 2024, the CNRS occupies the Exploradôme for an afternoon of workshops, scientific experiments, games and meetings with CNRS researchers on the theme of “The Ocean of Knowledge”.

Through a wide range of formats – workshops, hands-on experiments, meetings, demonstrations, etc. – CNRS researchers invite you to discover the universe and the mysteries of the ocean, through the prism of geology, biology, sociology, geography, astrophysics and physics. Come experiment, investigate and manipulate to learn about scientific reasoning and build your own knowledge.

Mysterious objects: discovering everyday objects and tools in the laboratory

Put on your detective suit! CNRS scientists put your curiosity to the test: discover a selection of objects related to their research and, through dialogue and manipulation, try to unravel the mystery of their laboratory work.

“Science tour “: A magic trick? No, science! And it’s not quite so magical: come discover the uses of water and how tornadoes form.

Based on interaction, the “Tour de science” workshops take you on a multifaceted discovery of the ocean, from the perspective of engineering, physics, computer science and biology. The choice is yours: watch a live science demonstration or take part in a hands-on experiment!
