The Lagardère Travel Retail Group, present in Romania with brands such as Inmedio, So! Coffee, Relay, 1 Minute and Hub Convenience, opens its first Duty Paid stores in Romania, after winning the public tender organized by Compania Națională Aeroporturi Bucharest (CNAB).
The object of the auction was to rent an area of about 2,000 square meters in the premises of the Henri Coandă – Otopeni International Airport, with the destination of Duty Paid, press and other types of accessories or travel souvenirs, for a period of 10 years.

As a result of this procedure, which took into account both the financial and the qualitative offer, CNAB’s income from the rental of these commercial premises would increase at least three times.
Lagardère Travel Retail will open the stores in stages, with the renovation and modernization of all spaces to be completed by November.
Astfl, Lagardere Travel Retail expands its portfolio of activities in Romania and on the Duty Paid segment through Aelia, its brand that counts around 150 stores worldwide.

The mix of concepts proposed by Lagardere Travel Retail will be completed by the concepts RELAY, global brand of products for travelers, respectively Discover – concept store for souvenirs.
Lagardère Travel Retail operates more than 5,120 stores in airports, train stations and other platforms in 42 countries and generated sales of €6.6 billion in 2023.
