The most talked-about auto brand in the luxury sports car segment, Ferrari, is set to launch not one, but two all-electric models, and estimates for the launch date are more optimistic than initially announced, according to data coming from the auto industry.
Ferrari could launch its first electric model in 2025, but also a battery-powered SUV in 2026. The company’s representatives have stated that they plan to introduce an electric supercar at the end of 2025, which means that the first cars will not be seen on the street earlier than 2026. Auto industry specialists, consulted by Automotive News, say that there is a possibility that in 2026 we can also see a fully electric crossover.

The estimated price for a Ferrari electric car exceeds 500,000 euros, to which at least 20% will be added through the options of buyers, who, at this level, do not skimp when configuring their car. That means the price could be around 200,000 euros more than what Ferrari currently charges for a car with a petrol engine.
Ferrari has already started building a new factory in Maranello for electric cars, but that doesn’t mean the wait time for a model from the Italian sports marque could get any shorter. Currently, there are models that have a waiting time that can reach up to two years, but this is not a reason for customers to be upset, but on the contrary, one of pride.

Ferrari, one of the most conservative car brands, broke the first image barrier with the launch of the Purosangue, a four-door crossover, the second was when it launched the first hybrid engine, on the SF90 Stradale, which was also the first PHEV of the Italians. Even though it had a 4.0-liter gasoline engine at its center, the three electric motors that accompany it completely change the paradigm of a Ferrari automobile.
Ferrari’s main rivals, Lamborghini, have announced the first fully electric car only in 2028, which gives Ferrari a pretty big advantage over customers interested in new engines.
