Arad border police detected 28 foreign citizens from Syria, Iraq and Guinea who were trying to illegally cross the border into Hungary, hidden in two trucks.
According to the Romanian Border Police, today, September 26, at the Nădlac II Border Crossing Point, a Turkish citizen, who was driving a road vehicle registered in Turkey and transporting car parts, presented himself for border formalities on the way out of the country on the Turkey-Germany route.
After a thorough check, the border guards discovered 27 people from Syria and Iraq hidden in the semi-trailer.
Also, at the Vărşand Border Crossing Point, the border police carried out control over a truck registered in Bulgaria, driven by a Bulgarian citizen, which was transporting toilet lids and porcelain from Bulgaria to Germany.
Following the control, a man was discovered in the semi-trailer among the transported goods. During the preliminary checks, the border police established that he is a citizen of Guinea.
Taking into account the aspects found, the border police officers have started investigations in terms of committing the crimes of migrant trafficking for the drivers and attempted fraudulent crossing of the state border for the citizens found hidden in the means of transport, and upon their completion, the measures will be ordered laws that are imposed.”, transmits the Romanian Border Police
